How to Check If a Mobile Number Suits Your Numbers

This reduces a mobile number to a single digit and weighs it against your own numbers, so you can compare options before choosing one. You need the number and your date of birth.

The manual method

  1. Write out the mobile number without the country code or any spaces.
  2. Add all ten digits together.
  3. Reduce the total to a single digit by adding its digits repeatedly.
  4. Compare that digit with your Mulank using the ank-maitri table. A number friendly to your Mulank is considered suitable; a neutral one is workable; an unfriendly one is the one to avoid when you have a choice.

What this number does not tell you

Changing a phone number is a small lever. Numerology treats it as a minor supporting influence, not something that alters the course of a life, and no reputable practice would advise paying a premium for a particular number.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I include the country code?

No. Use the ten-digit number as you would dial it locally. The country code belongs to the network, not to you, and including it would give every number in a country the same shift.

How much does a mobile number actually matter?

Less than almost anything else in numerology. It is a supporting detail. If you have a free choice between two numbers it is a reasonable tiebreaker, and it is not worth paying extra for.
