Marriage Compatibility by Numerology
This checks two people's numbers against each other: the Mulank each partner gets from their day of birth, and the number their names carry. It returns a percentage, the reasoning behind it, and the places the two readings disagree. Every figure is arithmetic you can reproduce, and the tables behind it are published in full.
How the score is worked out
- Reduce each partner's day of birth to a single digit. That is the Mulank — born on the 23rd gives 2 + 3 = 5.
- Look the pair up in the compatibility table to get the base score, then apply the marriage adjustment.
- Convert both names with the Chaldean letter values to get each name number.
- The combined figure weights the birth-date reading more heavily than the name reading, because the date does not change and a name can.
Every Mulank pairing for marriage
Read your Mulank down the left and your partner's across the top. Each figure links to the page for that pairing, which carries the same number and the reasoning behind it.
85% and above — Very strong. 70% and above — Strong. 55% and above — Workable. 40% and above — Needs effort. 20% and above — Challenging.
What this score cannot tell you
A compatibility percentage describes how two sets of numbers sit together. It does not predict whether a marriage will happen, whether it will last, or what either person will do. No pairing on this table is a certainty and none is hopeless — the scale is deliberately held between 20% and 97% for that reason. A low figure is a description of where effort will be needed, not a verdict on a relationship, and anyone who tells you otherwise from a birth date is guessing.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does marriage compatibility work in numerology?
It compares the vibrational reading of both partners' birth dates (Mulank) and names (name number). Numbers treated as friendly in the classical tables tend to produce an easier rapport; numbers that are not indicate where conscious effort is likelier to be needed. The score is looked up and adjusted by a stated rule, not judged.
What if our compatibility score is low?
It means the method flags areas that will need attention, not that a marriage will fail. The scale never returns 0% or 100% because no pairing is hopeless and none is guaranteed. Plenty of long marriages sit low on this table and plenty of short ones sat high — the number describes a tendency between two sets of digits, nothing more.
Is numerology compatibility more accurate than astrology?
They are different systems and neither is measurable against the other. Numerology works from the name and birth date alone, which makes it quick to check and easy to reproduce — you can verify every figure on this site yourself from the published tables. That reproducibility is what it offers; it is not a claim to predictive accuracy.
Can name correction improve marriage compatibility?
Changing the spelling of a name changes its name number, so it changes that part of the reading. It does not change either Mulank, which comes from the birth date and is fixed. Anyone presenting a name change as a fix for a low score is overstating what the method supports.
What counts as a good compatibility score for marriage?
On this site's scale, 85% and above reads as very strong, 70% and above as strong, 55% and above as workable, and 40% and above as needing effort. Those bands are used consistently on every page — the same percentage will never be described two different ways here.
Should we choose our wedding date based on numerology?
It is a reasonable way to choose between dates you are already considering, and that is how we treat it. The method shows which date windows suit both partners' numbers, with the arithmetic set out. What it will not do is tell you what will happen on the day. A full vivah muhurat also depends on the tithi, the Moon's nakshatra and sunrise-based windows that shift by city — where those cannot be computed we say so and send you to a panchang for your location rather than inventing the precision.
Every table used here is published in full, with what we will and will not compute, on our how we calculate page.
